365 Days in Photos

I'm going to try to put a photo up here each day for a whole year.

August 31, 2010 (Day 31)

For today's theme, I was asked to post a photo of my hero. So, here's my dad, in a rare candid shot. He's actually quite shy, so it's hard to get a picture of him not posing. I love this one 'cause I caught him laughing. ;)

August 30, 2010 (Day 30)

Todays theme:

Your Favorite place to relax and think in your town (not in your home)

August 29, 2010 (Day 29)

We had Japanese tonight at Arigato on Tranquille Road. They have the best Japanese food I've had. I usually don't like Tuna Nigiri, but theirs is actually quite yummy.

August 28, 2010 (Day 28)

Today's theme is a close-up of a couple holding hands. Mark is at work right now and I'm stuck inside, but I found this picture on the hard drive of the two of us in Denny's the morning after our wedding. I took it with my cellphone while we sat together having our first breakfast as man and wife. I love it.

Friday, August 27, 2010

August 27, 2010 (Day 27)

Today's theme is the view from your back door. We don't really have a back door, but this is the view from our back yard.

August 26, 2010 (Day 26)

A&W had a classic car show today and every Teen Burger sold donated $1 to research for a cure for MS. So we checked out the cars, then went inside and had some dinner.

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

August 25, 2010 (Day 25)

Today's theme is letters of the alphabet. We're supposed to find something that starts with a letter of the alphabet - but that includes anything and everything. I wanted to be a little more creative, so I took two shots of my bookshelves. Book starts with 'B' and books are full of all the letters of the alphabet. Also, books are one of my most favourite things.

As you can see, I have mostly fantasy novels. I love escaping into another world where magic is real, and the impossible is everyday.

August 24, 2010 (Day 24)

Today's theme is light. So here's the light fixture that hangs over our dining room table. I think it's really pretty, but it is annoying as it hangs low enough to bump your head if you walk directly under it. This is one thing I will miss when we move - I will probably miss the built-in bookshelves even more, though.

August 23, 2010 (Day 23)

I decided to go with the theme today: piles of laundry. So here's mine:

Funny enough, this is clean laundry. See, my job is to wash and dry it, and Mark's job is to fold it and put it away. Guess I'm done my part. lol

August 22, 2010 (Day 22)

My friend Jackie is housesitting for a couple of weeks and the people have a little Cockapoo named Zoey. She's so sweet. We went over there after church to have lunch and watch a DVD with Jackie and Zoey decided that we were her new best friends.

August 21, 2010 (Day 20)

I'm not sure if you can see it very well in this picture, but my skin is peeling like a snake where I burned it.

August 20, 2010 (Day 20)

One of my best friends from high school, Tanya, messaged me on Facebook the other day and asked if we could have dinner before Mark and I move to Saskatchewan this fall. We went to Boston Pizza and I asked her if I could put this photo of her up here to document the day.

Thursday, August 19, 2010

August 19, 2010 (Day 19)

Kamloops is full of smoke again. These pictures were taken from the McDonald's where I work looking towards North Hills Mall. Usually, you can see mountains behind the mall. And usually, the mall is a lot clearer from so close.

I've got chest congestion and a headache from breathing this stuff all day.

August 18, 2010 (Day 18)

Decided to go with the theme today (street signs), so here's the sign at the end of our street. You wouldn't believe how many people think I'm saying "Perryview" or something until I spell "Perryville" for them.

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

August 17, 2010 (Day 17)

Again, not following themes today. Here's what we made for supper: sirloin steaks.
Yummy.

August 16, 2010 (Day 16)

I couldn't find any insects to take a picture of today, so I snapped this fake flower we have in our kitchen.

Monday, August 16, 2010

August 15, 2010 (Day 15)

We went out to dinner with my dad tonight, like we do every Sunday, and we saw this awesome car in the parking lot after. I have a thing for Mustangs, especially convertibles.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

August 14, 2010 (Day 14)

Today was the 2nd and last day of our yard sale, and I couldn't have survived without this.

After yesterday's sunburn, I slathered on the spf 60 and wore a hat, but it was still very warm. Nice to see so many people and get rid of some stuff we don't need anymore, though.

Friday, August 13, 2010

August 13, 2010 (Day 13)

We had a moving/yard sale today and, although I sat in the shade for the whole time, I still got a sunburn - a really bad sunburn.

After taking my shirt off, it looks like I've still got a white shirt on. I don't. Really.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

August 12, 2010 (Day 12)

As the theme today is movies, I took a photo of my video/DVD shelf. Yes, I still have VHS.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

August 11, 2010 (Day 11)

For a thrift store, Value Village actually has quite high prices. So I went shopping when they had a half price sale. I found these shoes for dirt cheap, and they look almost brand-new.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

August 10, 2010 (Day 10)

Since today's theme is water and it was raining today, I thought the rain on the hood of our car was perfect. I love the colours.

Monday, August 9, 2010

August 9, 2010 (Day 9)

Today's theme was 'retro' so I snapped this pic of Mark's vinyl Godspell album. It's funny, 'cause we don't even have a turntable record player. We'd like to get one of those newfangled ones that can plug into your computer so you can record the album onto MP3s.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

August 8, 2010 (Day 8)

My dad took us out to dinner tonight to one of our favourite restaurants: East Side Mario's. Here's the menu on the wall outside. I think it's beautiful. ;)

Saturday, August 7, 2010

August 7, 2010 (Day 7)

The theme is animals, but we have none. I know, it's sad. I wish we had a couple: a dog and a cat would be great. Someday. So I took a picture of this Starbucks reindeer Mark bought for me a couple of Christmases ago. And yes, he's standing next to a Christmas card from last year that we're still displaying.

Friday, August 6, 2010

August 6, 2010 (Day 6)

Today's theme is to post a picture of yourself with your significant other. Mark was out of the house all day, so I found a photo on the harddrive.
This picture was taken with our (brandnew then) webcam in January. We were in a car accident on December 30, 2009 and I broke my collarbone, hence the sling.

Thursday, August 5, 2010

August 5, 2010 (Day 5)

Today we went out for coffee with my best friend from high school, Tamara, at Zack's Exotic Teas and Coffees in the WalMart Plaza. It was rather overcast; we've had several forest fires in the area lately and the smoke has been thick. As we came out of Zack's, the sun came out and I snapped this picture of the sky.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

August 4, 2010 (Day 4)

For today's post, I decided to follow the theme of bliss and joy. My husband Mark is the one person in my life who can always make me blissful.
Here he is playing Conan on our Xbox 360. Isn't he cute?

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

August 3, 2010 (Day 3)

Today, we went to the movies and once again, I forgot all about taking a picture for today. So I decided to go with the theme of 'colours' and I snapped this candy thingy Mark bought at 7/11.

August 2, 2010 (Day 2)

We had a very busy day and I forgot to take pictures. :(
We had friends over for dinner so we cleaned the house before they came and then spent the afternoon with them.
After they went home, we relaxed with a little Lego Batman on the Xbox 360. I finally remembered I need to take a picture of something. lol

Sunday, August 1, 2010

August 1, 2010 (Day 1)

My husband Mark and my brother Ben at dinner tonight in Kelly O'Briens. I decided to add this photo to fit the theme of the most important person in my life, which is my hubby. :)
A tree in Riverside Park. I thought it looked cool.
