I'm going to try to put a photo up here each day for a whole year.

February 26, 2011 (Day 204)

So I bought a new nail buffer thingy. My old one was getting so it didn't do anything anymore it was so smooth. I love these things. :)

February 21-25, 2011 (Days 201-205)

I've been slacking on this blog again. Sorry.
Today, I gave myself a manicure. Yeah, I know. So important.

On a more exciting note, I've been writing again. I've gotten into this site FanFiction.net and it's so much fun. I'm so happy 'cause I've had writer's block for over a year. :)

February 19 & 20, 2011 (Days 199 & 200)

I didn't go anywhere or do anything Saturday. I stayed at home and relaxed. Here's a juicebox I had with lunch.

Here's my Sunday supper. Salmon steak with french fries and green beans. Yum.

February 14-18, 2011 (Days 194-198)

I've been so busy this week, that I haven't posted anything since Sunday. :(
Here's some candies I picked out specially for Mark. (I really like the one that says "Tweet me" lol)

A pretty snow-choked bush outside of work.

The parking lot at 9pm when I get off work this week. That's my car on the right.

Picking the petals off my roses so they can dry. They're gonna smell nice. :)

February 12 & 13, 2011 (Days 193 & 194)

It's Valentine's Day on Monday, so we had a weekend "away." The Regina Inn had a dinner on Saturday night and also a package deal with the dinner, a room for the night, and brunch the next morning. We did the whole package.
It included these roses which were brought to our room with a bottle of champagne.

This was only part of the delicious dinner. We also had lobster bisque, prime rib, made-to-order seafood stirfry, and dessert. It was incredible.

February 11, 2011 (Day 192)

February 10, 2011 (Day 191)

It snowed today while I was at work. Someone had walked through the parking lot just before me, and I took this photo of their footprints in the fresh snow.

February 7, 8, & 9, 2011 (Days 188, 189, & 190)

We went to get our hair cut at First Choice Haircutters on Quance St. They do walk-ins, so we put our names down, then went over to Petland next door and looked at some animals.

This is a Basilisk. I thought they were imaginary creatures, but apparently not. He sat so still until the photo was taken, then he was gone in an instant.

I don't know what these are; there was no sign.

These are pygmy gerbils. They're so tiny!

February 6, 2011 (Day 188)

The pastor preached on the difference between success and greatness today. Among other things, he said great people can balance justice and mercy. I was immediately reminded of the finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender. WARNING: The following contains spoilers.

I wrote this poem about Aang's feelings about his confrontation with Firelord Ozai. It's written on the note paper they provide at the church. :)

February 5, 2011 (Day 187)

Perfect Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Heat small frying pan over medium heat. Take two slices of bread and spread real butter on one side of each. Slice real cheddar cheese (medium or sharp) thinly and cover one slice of bread on unbuttered side with cheese. Place cheese side up in frying pan then place other slice of bread butter side up on top. Cover with lid and cook for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Uncover, flip sandwich over, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until bread is toasted brown. Serve immediately. Feeds 1.

February 4, 2011 (Day 186)

I took this picture through the windshield of our car. If you look closely, you can see the raindrops. It's raining. In Regina. In February.

February 3, 2011 (Day 185)

Today at work, they had a free lunch for all the staff. It was very nice: perogies, cabbage rolls, sausage, and steamed veggies.

February 1 & 2, 2011 (Days 183 & 184)

It's been beautiful this week. After temperatures around -30C (-22F) for a couple of days, it went up to just around freezing and the sun came out.

On Wednesday, I had to leave work early as I was dizzy and throwing up. After waiting for just over an hour at the walk-in clinic (not long at all), the doctor told me I have a sinus infection. This is the third doctor I've seen since moving to Regina in October and this is the first doctor who's told me what's actually wrong. He even gave me a prescription.
